Become an Orange Jacket.

Join the ranks

To apply to become an Orange Jacket you must fulfill three basic criteria. You must have completed 24 hours in residence at UT, have 3 long semesters remaining in residence, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. We are looking for the most talented and driven women on campus. If you are interested in learning more about Orange Jackets, please visit with some of our members at our Starbucks nights, Information Sessions, or while we table on the West Mall.

Follow all of directions precisely and keep in mind that we look for candidates whose time at UT has been marked by an emphasis in scholarship, leadership, and service. If you have any questions contact our Vice President of Membership, Angie Deng. Completed applications are due no later than 5pm on September 13th at the SOC desk in the SSB. Late or e-mailed applications will not be accepted.

Each Orange Jacket Tappee will be required to attend weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
additionally, each Tappee must also commit to completing a semester-long service project and meet the other service requirements decided upon at the beginning of each academic year. Orange Jackets are also expected to uphold the traditions of the organization and the honor of wearing the OJ vests.
